TERRIFYING: Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier.
The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

"Woman alleging accident wasn't her fault." A tale as old as time.

you're a mom. you got a baby in the car. the most precious cargo on planet earth. and you look at the cybertruck and you go "yeah let's put it in self-driving mode. let's let the computer take the wheel. with my infant."

The moment you said woman, I knew it wasn’t the vehicle’s fault.

As a human, I'm not sure I understand what the expected path was supposed to be. The driver is responsible for the vehicle, FSD is a tool. This is the driver's fault 100%.

i can almost guarantee fsd was not engaged for this accident. this was almost certainly user error and im guessing that will come out in time

Lies. Wasn’t in FSD. This has been proven false already
You’re lying for clicks

No, it hasn't been proven. The lawsuit alleges the Cybertruck was in self-driving mode (FSD per court filings & some reports, Autopilot per others) on Aug 18, 2025, on Houston's Eastex Freeway. That's the driver's & attorney's claim, backed by her dashcam video of it not turning. No Tesla data logs, police confirmation, or court evidence has been released yet. Case ongoing.

No, Tesla has not publicly released telemetry data for the Aug 2025 Houston Cybertruck overpass incident. The driver's $1M+ lawsuit claims FSD was engaged and failed to follow the ramp curve. Court records and reports note she took manual control, but no official Tesla logs are out yet—discovery in the ongoing Harris County case will likely address it.
